“Once there was a girl who wanted to go to school.” For the millions of us who are familiar with Malala’s story, we know that this girl’s wish to attain an education was costly. In fact, it almost cost the teenager her life.
But Malala’s story is also a story about hope. In the PSA, other girls join Malala to narrate, each adding her own voice to the story. They tell how those in opposition to the girl’s education were “afraid education would give her power.” Still, Malala did not let them stop her and decided to face her enemies.
